    Great item, keeps hot, however there should be an audio sound and auto switch off if water runs out.

      This is a really useful item, having read some of the other reviews i was not sure it would do what we wanted, but decided to try it anyway. It is very quiet, and does exactly what it is supposed to. We are very happy with the purchase and will recommend this item to our friends.

    Would not like to be with out it. Every kitchen should have one, no more kettles , (band to the attic) constant hot water for drinks and other general kitchen uses, would not like to be with out it, should have had one years ago. But for two or more in the family it is advisable to get the larger capacity. 68% power saving is a bonus.

      I find the perma therm quite useful in providing hot water all day without having to. 5l but i assume that the comments are applicable to both 3. I cannot find a technical specification anywhere so don’t take too much notice of actual figures, e. Keep warm 98c actually keeps warm at 95c and the re-boil is not functional while keep warm is active. The only way to re-boil is to power down for a few seconds then re-start. Mine only just reaches boiling then switches to keep warm, from the sound, not from what the display shows and it falls by 2 to 3 degrees within 10 minutes. I think the digital display is actually an analogue reading that is converted to display digitally and as such is probably no closer than +/- 2 degrees.

    Works well but as we are a hard water area, it’s extremely difficult to clean/descale, it would be better if the inside container was removable, it would make it easier to clean. Everything else is fine apart from the fact that it scales up every day. My old kettle took ages before any real scale formed. I phoned help line but i’m afraid they were not very helpful.

      I don’t like waiting and now i have instant hot water unlike the other options on the market. . Excellent you can take it away from the power and use the manual pump, change the heat settings etc. I would have preferred the buttons were a little easier and without a child lock that cannot be switched off, i’d hope it would have been easier also to work for someone with arthritis as the buttons require more pressure than i’d expected. I also have the premium hot water dispenser on the market but you are required to know how much you need to dispense every time and frankly this is just much better. I’m really being picky overall i’d definately recommend this, no waiting at all and far less expensive that the premium version that are on the market.

      Very disappointed with this product filled it up left it for. Very disappointed with this product filled it up left it for the 30 minutes until it beeps went back to use it my kitchen floor was flooded the bottom leaked sent it back.

Happily it was the 5ltr model inside, it appears that the one manual is used for both models. Unusually for these things the instruction manual is clearly written, even i could follow it. It is basic and very small print and small diagrams but it shows all that i needed to know. Someone said it takes thirty minutes to boil for the first time, but they all take about that long for the first boil.
