Review and Buying Guide of Dualit Classic Polished Rapid Boil Kettle 1

Nope but it is the most gorgeous stylish kettle i have at any time owned. Pairs well with my classic toaster of 11 several years.

Beautiful kettle not as peaceful as i imagined it would be.

Solid, but not worthy of the price tag. . It is effective, nonetheless for the dollars there are numerous design concerns, the most significant of which is the truth that it really is tricky to see how considerably water is in the kettle with no both finding it up, or bending down to examine. It really is designed like a brick out home, so i count on it to previous many years.

Solid, but not worth the cost. . It works, however for the money there are numerous design issues, the biggest of which is the fact that it’s hard to see how much water is in the kettle without either picking it up, or bending down to check. It’s built like a brick out house, so i expect it to last years.

Only 4 stars because although it looks divine it is so heavy. Also not as quiet as i expected.

Upon opening from the box you realise straight away this is a quality product. A little heavier perhaps but then is well made with quality components. It’s noise level is quiter but still noisy as all rapid boil kettles are due to the concealed element technology. Outer packaging was not the best but that’s due to the carrier hermes not lakeland the supplier.

It’s a highly polished retro classic of a kettle hammered into shape by trevor hockney in his new york village private iron foundry and would be just as at home in the tate national as it would in your kitchen. In the world of kettles its king, queen and high priestess all rolled into one. Not only is it this beautiful it boils water as well. It would be if the water level sight gauge gave me an instant sighting of the water level but you can’t have everything can you. Nobody with a heightened sense of shape, style & function could be disappointed when this pops out of the box.

My previous cheap, plastic kettle was a lot quieter than this one and i’d love to know exactly how noisy the other dualit kettles are, if this is the quietest model. My query to dualit brought the response that this kettle produces 57 decibels, to be precise. Not annoyingly loud, but quiet, it ain’t. – not as far as i am concerned anyway, though the definition of quiet will be relative to the noisiness of your previous kettle, so opinions on the whisper quietness of this kettle will inevitably vary but as if it matters a great deal, its not a drillalthough very costly, for a kettle i think it is well worth the outlay – classy, stylish, excellently designed, and of a reassuringly solid construction, being heavy, but not too heavy, boils quickly and pours well and steadily, with no drips, due to the well designed spout. A bit of force needs to be exerted when lifting the hinged lid with the ring pull due to the ‘pips’ on the rim inside the lid, making for a very tight fit, presumably, to prevent steam escaping. I noticed with my kettle, initially, there was a metallic taste to the water that did not go away until i refilled and boiled water in the kettle 10 times – then it was fine. Having used a cheap, plastic kettle for quite a few years, i think that eventually, the boiled water became tainted with plastic residue which was disguised by the strong tea because with this dualit kettle, the tea now tastes wonderful.
