Review and Buying Guide of Breville Stainless Steel Kettle

Pretty practical and very well produced. . This is a extremely interesting and really simple kettle. It is strongly designed, boils quietly and extremely quickly, and must final well. The design helps make it easy to fill, maintain and pour in basic safety and self confidence even when full and boiling. The purple / mild aspect appeared originally a tiny gimmicky but does have use and benefit as it permits you to know that the kettle retains hot h2o. To our surprise this has proved useful at instances.

This kettle has a pink and blue gentle method which is pure genius. When the h2o is boiling the gentle strip on the facet of the kettle glows blue, then gradually variations to red as it boils. It remains pink for as lengthy as the drinking water temperature is hot plenty of to make additional tea or espresso this means you don’t have to preserve switching it back again on once again thus conserving cash in electric powered. It’s a quick boiling kettle and pretty silent far too.

Iam getting this to be a terrific kettle and much much better than my final plastic kind one particular. It has a good shape and is well intended, with a shorter twine than my last kettle (which is wonderful for me as fewer to disguise away). It defiantly boils faster than my previous kettle and is quieter as well. The colour altering light is terrific as i can just pore one more consume with out losing power if its still crimson, excellent for the environment and your electric billvery pleased with this.

Comments from buyers

“Good kettle but overpriced for a little gimmick, A nice fast boil well made kettle., A good looking kettle that does the job well, Chemical taste remains, Super shiny kettle that lights up blue when heating & stays red when hot (but had to be replaced after 10weeks when LEDs failed), Very practical and well made.”

Remarkable and entertaining. The one of a kind offering issue for this kettle is that it shows a red mild in its system (the window demonstrating light-weight blue in the illustration) although the water is still hot, which is a quite handy attribute as you can test this out at a look. What i hadn’t appreciated is that when you first switch the kettle on, a pale aqua mild shines by the drinking water, and as it heats up, the light cycles up by means of the spectrum, turning a deeper shade of blue, then by means of shades of indigo and purple till it reaches pink when the drinking water boils. Greater than a excursion out to the illuminations. It truly is not also noisy and the ‘on’ button is reassuringly clunky. You will find also a lid launch button which allows you flip up the lid for filling or when you want to suggestion a kettle total into a pan for instance. This is a good looking kettle, the fantastic end chrome wipes clean very easily. We have employed it for a week and have practically nothing adverse to say. It boils immediately, and presents a light-weight present into the deal. The crimson ‘still hot’ feature is useful i imagine.

Super shiny kettle that lights up blue when heating & stays purple when hot (but had to be changed right after 10weeks when leds unsuccessful). This kettle is specifically as you’d assume in terms of build quality and features for its price tag range, but with the further ‘still hot’ financial system characteristic as it is usp. This means that, when the kettle has boiled, the see-as a result of strip down the facet stays illuminated crimson right up until the temperature drops (down below 80’c) so you will not have to press ‘boil’ all over again. When i timed it, the light-weight stayed purple for nearly 20 minutes and then the light-weight went off – so, no energy-sapping lights on the kettle when it can be on standby. Help you save strength, help you save your electrical payments, help save the world. It also functions as a handy warning mainly because, currently being a metallic kettle, the total kettle heats up and stays hot for really some time. Pluses:- three kw, which means the kettle boils seriously speedily and quietly- one. 7 liture potential boils a great deal of water – much more than plenty of to fill the greatest teapot, or fill a saucepan- the fill degree is marked on the aspect in cups, so you can just fill the kettle with enough water and you can see the water level on either aspect of the kettle- you can boil as minor as 250ml/1 cup (yet again, conserving energy)- cirular electrical power base, which usually means you can plonk the kettle down dealing with any direction and it’ll electricity up. – lights up a definitely fairly blue color when heating, which goes to a really violet when just about to boil then stays pink at the time it can be boiled- light goes off once the drinking water temperature drops (so you might be not losing electric power when the kettle is on standby like my former kettle)niggles:- the total system of the stainless steel kettle becomes hot to the touch, even if there are only 1 or two cups of h2o in the kettle, and remains hot to the contact for very some time (50 percent an hour so significantly) – likely a shock for curious little fingers but ideally the red light will give them a warning not to contact. – to commence with, until you get utilised to it, it really is a little bit of a messy pour: when the kettle is poured, hot water and steam occur out of the sides of the spout and lid.

I really like this kettle so straightforward to use. I like this kettle so effortless to use. Boils so rapidly and the still hot is great.

As other writers have stated the thin metal body gets to the same temperature as the water inside so you can easily burn yourself. The internal filter is very awkward to remove and re-fit. The switch mechanism is not no volt release. Which means if you lift it off the base before it’s finished boiling then empty it and return it to the base it is still switched on??. I thought they weren’t supposed to do that.

Good kettle but overpriced for a little gimmick. This is a robust feeling kettle with an effective quick-boil feature that can boil a cup of water in about 90s and three cups worth in about 1m50s. As it has a flat element you can also happily boil just one cup without worrying about damaging the kettle (unlike the old style elements that required enough water to fully submerge them). On the plus side:+very quick to boil+one of the quietest kettles i’ve used+sleek designhowever, it is not without it’s flaws:-the kettle itself gets very hot when used and i can easily imagine someone getting a nasty burn from the metallic body. This kettle really needs a cool-wall design. -the red “water is hot” indicator light is invisible in direct sunlight (see photo)-occasionally seems to “overboil” the water (boils longer than necessary)in summary i would say a good kettle but the gimmick doesn’t make it worth the price. For a much cheaper but excellent quality kettle that will give you the best tasting tea thanks to it’s lack of plastic parts, i recommend the russell hobbs 20070 instead. Or for a much better way of saving energy than not reboiling the kettle when it’s just been used (which, lets face it, is a fairly rare occurence in most homes anyway) try a vacuum kettle which will keep the water hot for around four hours.

A good looking kettle that does the job well. A stylish little kettle that does what it’s supposed to. It boils water fairly quickly and compared to other kettles i’ve owned the noise isn’t too bad. The kettle looks quite a bit smaller than my last one, but capacity is just as good. The stainless steel looks nice, and the colours used when the kettle is heating up and hot are also a nice touch. The fact they don’t remain on all the time is also something i like. The final plus point is the filter which is removable. Handy for rinsing out to get rid of built up limescale. The still hot indicator is a nice touch, but i can’t say i make use oi it that much. The light goes out fairly quickly (perhaps 5 minutes) and so it would only really be useful if someone else came to make a cup of tea shortly after me.

Iam finding this to be a great kettle and far better than my last plastic type one. It has a nice shape and is well designed, with a shorter cord than my last kettle (which is great for me as less to hide away). It defiantly boils faster than my last kettle and is quieter as well. The colour changing light is great as i can just pore another drink without wasting energy if its still red, good for the environment and your electric billvery happy with this.

This is a smart looking and solid feeling kettle built on what is now a familiar connecting base allowing the kettle to rotate. It has power and lid opening buttons on the handle and a cleaver coloured led showing you when the water is still hot and does not require a reboil. It is fairly standard in every way, however my review copy had one major failing. The instructions are clear and tell you to fill boil and empty the kettle three times before use. I did this but the water still had a chemical smell. I repeated a further six times and the smell had gone but i drink green tea and the taste was still detectable. I am sure this would disappear with use or not be noticeable in strong coffee but i have had a few review kettles and never had this problem before. If you are prepared to go through lots of boil cycles this is an okay kettle but unless you really like the look or are getting a very good price there are better kettles out there.

A nice fast boil well made kettle. . Breville stainless steel kettle with still hot illumination, stainless steelthe kettle. —————this is well made using stainless steel. It feels like a quality item rather than the all plastic kettles we have had before. 7 litres of water at a time. ————-the kettle has a nice feature that makes the window glow red when the kettle is still hot. It acts as a warning ‘do not touch’ it is also a quick boil kettle which means water is boiled very quickly. Our normal kettle takes 6 minutes to boil when full, this one has the water boiled in around 2. It will boil from a cup of water to a full kettle full. The gradations on the water level are in cups so it’s easy to boil just the right amount with no waste. The only problem i found is that even when boiling only a cup of water the whole stainless steel outside gets quite hot. I suppose this is because metal conducts better and faster than plastic.

Impressive and entertaining. The unique selling point for this kettle is that it shows a red light in its body (the window showing light blue in the illustration) whilst the water is still hot, which is a very useful feature as you can check this out at a glance. What i hadn’t appreciated is that when you first turn the kettle on, a pale aqua light shines through the water, and as it heats up, the light cycles up through the spectrum, turning a deeper shade of blue, then through shades of indigo and purple until it reaches red when the water boils. Better than a trip out to the illuminations. It’s not too noisy and the “on” button is reassuringly clunky. There’s also a lid release button which lets you flip up the lid for filling or when you want to tip a kettle full into a pan for example. This is a good looking kettle, the brilliant finish chrome wipes clean easily. We’ve used it for a week and have nothing negative to say. It boils quickly, and provides a light show into the bargain. The red “still hot” feature is handy i think.

This kettle has a red and blue light system which is pure genius. When the water is boiling the light strip on the side of the kettle glows blue, then gradually changes to red as it boils. It remains red for as long as the water temperature is hot enough to make more tea or coffee meaning you don’t have to keep switching it back on again thus saving money in electric. It’s a fast boiling kettle and fairly quiet too.

Very practical and well made. . This is a very attractive and highly practical kettle. It is strongly made, boils quietly and very quickly, and should last well. The design makes it easy to fill, hold and pour in safety and confidence even when full and boiling. The red / light feature seemed initially a little gimmicky but does have use and value as it allows you to know that the kettle holds hot water. To our surprise this has proved useful at times.

Super shiny kettle that lights up blue when heating & stays red when hot (but had to be replaced after 10weeks when leds failed). This kettle is exactly as you’d expect in terms of build quality and features for its price range, but with the extra “still hot” economy feature as it’s usp. This means that, once the kettle has boiled, the see-through strip down the side stays illuminated red until the temperature drops (below 80’c) so you don’t have to press “boil” again. When i timed it, the light stayed red for nearly 20 minutes and then the light went off – so, no energy-sapping lights on the kettle when it’s on standby. I would recommend this product as it’s easy to see the water. I would recommend this product as it’s easy to see the water heating inside because it changes colour as it does so.
