Review and Buying Guide of Bosch THD2063GB Filtrino II Hot Water Dispenser

Brilliant, quick quiet and hopefully energy efficient. Used constantly for the past 2 months. Brilliant, quick quiet and hopefully energy efficient. Descaled it last week so i guess once every 6 weeks this will be needed.

My most fav gadget ever :-). I needed a new kettle, and i had a tefal one cup before that had broken. I read the reviews on this and saw that they were a bit mixed. I love the fact the water comes out as soon as i press the button, yes it is slower than turning on a tap, but you are getting instant hot water from cold and filtered. The noise is no louder than a filter coffee machine. Yes it is a little expensive, and for the price, it would be nice if it cleaned the kitchen for me as well, but i still love it. As a like to have – it would be great if you could connect it to the mains water, that way you wouldn’t have to keep filling it up :-).

Well after a shaky start i can’t recommend this enough. I had to return the first one as it was particularly noisy. I wasn’t sure if this was normal after reading some of the reviews here – i even called the bosch helpline. I spoke to someone who was initially very helpful and she said how they use the machine in the office, she loves the ambient water from it, so when i ran the machine and asked if the level of noise was normal, her attitude changed somewhat, she put me on hold and spoke to a colleague. On her return she said that noise was perfectly normal (85 db accompanied by vibrations). She then retracted the fact that they use one in the office, said she was confused and she actually meant a water filter. When challenged about the so called ‘whisper quiet’ technology advertised and how this was misleading she declined to comment. However i decided to ask a question here on amazon and two owners kindly responded and assured me the noise was not normal. I returned the item, amazon dispatched a replacement the same day and the following day here i am with a quiet working bosch filtrino.

“Clean, convenient and efficient, My most fav gadget ever :-), Excellent Replacement for Kettle, the best thing slince sliced bread, I love this machine!, Kettle redundant?”

Clean, convenient and efficient. Bought as a replacement for a kettle that packed up it does all it claims to. Despite its dimensions it takes up no more room than a kettle as it sit back flat against a wall and does not need to move if filled with a jug. Very quick for a single cup and you only heat what you use; but if you remove the drip tray to fill a tall coffee pot then the base projection is a bit small and not too stable. We live in a very hard water area(chalk downs) and only time will tell how frequently it needs de-scaling. A good product that could be perfect if bosch brought out a plumbed in version.

There have been some negative reviews about this item, but we have used this in replacement of a previous one cup kettle and it does the job. It quieter than previous one cup kettles and to date we have had no problems with it.

The best thing slince sliced bread. The best thing slince sliced breadgreat aid for the disabled user and also the able user ten out of ten.

Slow to give hot water n quantity is short of requirement.

Doesn’t really get the water to boiling but it’s toasty. I’ve had it just over a year (1 year and a month), the water container has cracked along the container starting where the handle goes through the plastic. Bosch want £30 for a replacement. I think not for what is obviously a stress fracture from a lack of supporting plastic on the hole.

It does what it says, and it does it well. Easy to use, easy to maintain. The only way it could be improved is with an analogue dial to change the amount of water it kicks out. You can stop it any time though, and run it again straight after, but the amount that comes out is generally spot on for your average mug size.

Does what it’s meant to but seems quite slow. Doesn’t take up too much room on the kitchen bench but it’s louder and much slower than i expected. Definitely quieter than a regular electric kettle but the water kind of trickles and splutters out much slower than expected. Probably takes a good minute or two to finish filling the cup. My old tefal one was much faster. Love that it has a filter inside and also that it gives you room temperature water too.

Needs a replacement filter monthly and a de scale every 3 months.

Great water dispenser would recommend hot water when you want it without having to wait on kettle boiling.

Great for a couple, not ideal for a larger family. . I really wanted to give 5 stars but it’s just so slow at dispensing water. I actually only use this to hear 1 or 2 cups worth, any more and i tend to revert to my traditional kettle. This makes me sad as i was excited about the eco friendly ideals behind tips water dispenser. The filter is a good idea considering how many nasties there are in uk mains water. If you are patient enough or only need to get 1,2, maybe 3 cups of water then go for it, you’ll save time and energy, best of all you’ll be putting less strain on the power supplies. Any more than that and you are looking at potentially longer time to boiled water depending on how long your traditional kettles takes. Another nice touch is the ability to dispense at other temperatures for drinks that require lower than boiling point or even room temperature.
